Common Questions

How do leads work?
When a homeowner submits a request on a relevant trade+town page, matching Featured contractors can receive the request details by email: name, phone, email, project details, budget, and timeline when provided.
What if the spot for my trade and town is already taken?
During the regional pilot, we review actual service areas and homeowner demand before approving Featured placement. A waitlist may be used later if a market has more qualified providers than useful placement capacity.
How many leads will I get?
Lead volume is not guaranteed. It depends on local search demand, page visibility, the strength of the listing, and how many homeowners submit requests in that trade and town.
Can I cover multiple towns?
Yes. Tell us the towns you genuinely serve. Pilot placement and matching are based on verified service-area fit rather than requiring separate purchases for every town.
How is this different from Angi or Thumbtack?
TLC starts with a public directory listing and direct contact details. Pilot providers are reviewed for ownership, credentials, insurance, and service-area fit before receiving homeowner details.
Can I cancel anytime?
Online Featured billing is not open during the validation pilot. If paid plans reopen, cancellation terms and billing controls will be shown before purchase.
What if I don't get any leads?
Lead volume is not guaranteed. Pilot access is approved only for a real trade and confirmed service area, and it can be paused if the fit or response quality is poor.
Do I need a website?
No. Your listing works great with just a phone number. Featured contractors get the option to add a website link, but it's not required. Your TLC profile IS your web presence for that trade+town.
